Lau graduated from The University of Leeds in 1995. He completed his vocational training in a prestigious practice in York before moving to work in a busy NHS practice outside of Leeds, rising to the position of senior associate and running the practice until 2000.

Lau has completed advanced courses in the use of Botulinum toxin, dermal fillers and skin peels and has been taught by some of the best facial practitioners in the UK.
