Teeth whitening should only be performed by a Dental professional. Carried out properly teeth whitening is safe, pain-free, and provides a simple and lasting aesthetic benefit. Your lifestyle and the aging process can stain and darken your teeth. Many things we do on a regular basis can contribute to stained teeth, such as drinking coffee, tea and red wine or smoking.

Porcelain Veneers

Veneers can improve the colour, shape and position of your teeth, leading to a perfect, bright, natural looking smile. The procedure is ideally suited for discoloured, chipped or uneven front teeth.

Veneers are precisely engineered thin slices of porcelain, which are bonded onto the visible surface of existing front teeth, (very much like a false fingernail). When in position they are extremely durable, help protect teeth from further damage and most importantly remain attractive for a considerable period of time.

There are also ‘composite’ veneers and these can be completed in just one visit.

Composite Sculpting

Minor irregularities in tooth shape can be improved simply and on one visit by bonding colour matched composite resin to the tooth surface. This treatment can be done in combination with short term orthodontic treatment and or tooth whitening to create a beautiful smile with very little or no tooth preparation.

Porcelain Crowns

When a tooth is badly broken or heavily filled, the dentist may need to crown or ‘cap’ it to restore its appearance and strength. A crown involves the dentist first shaping the problem tooth and taking an impression. The impression is then sent to the laboratory where the technicians create the crown. The crown is then placed over the ‘shaped’ tooth.

There are different types of crown, the most popular being tooth coloured. We will advise you on the correct shade of crown to best compliment your existing teeth. At Enhance we only use the best materials and the most experienced laboratories to guarantee excellent fit as well as aesthetics.

Full Smile Makeovers

A Full Smile Makeover as the name suggests usually involves amending at least the top eight or ten teeth and sometimes the lower teeth as well. The most frequent treatments used are porcelain veneers, being both strong and aesthetic. However, crowns, bridges and even implants can also be part of a smile makeover depending on the case.

Orthodontics using Clearstep™ or Six Month Smiles® may be recommended to prealign upper teeth or align crowding of the lower teeth. If upper teeth only are being treated with veneers then we would recommend the lower teeth are whitened.

Bridges

If a tooth is missing, or needs extracting and the space needs to be filled, there are several ways to fill the gap that is left. In some cases it is important to try to replace any missing teeth in order to balance the way your jaw bites. If you have several missing teeth, the remaining teeth are under more pressure, which can lead to broken fillings or even jaw problems.

Bridges are ideal for people who don’t like dentures or only have one or two teeth missing. Conventional bridges are made by crowning the teeth on either side of the gap and attaching a false tooth in the middle. These bridges are made of the same materials and fixed in the same way as crowns.
